The Fourth Kind (2009)

Starring: Milla Jovovich, Elias Koteas, Will Patton, Hakeem Kae-Kazim

Okay...will someone please tell me what the hell I just watched?? Because, really, I'm totally clueless. The only thing I know for sure is that Milla kept her clothes on for a change.

The killed the movie was the fact that they were trying to pass it off as a documentary.  It completly ruined

Godzilla in 2012??

According to Variey, Legendary Pictures has gotten the Godzilla rights from TOHO.  If you recall, Sony made a crapy Godzilla film back in 1998, staring Mathew Brodrick.
"Though Legendary won't say so publicly, its execs are described as being particularly keen to avoid duplicating the look and feel of Sony's 1998 "Godzilla," a contempo update with state-of-the-art special effects centered on the chaos and destruction accompanying the monster's arrival in New York City."
The movie will be co-prodluced/co-financed with Warner Bros. and Legendary with be announcing the director soon.

We Already Knew That - Ricky Martin is Gay

Ricky Martin has officially come out of the closet...and no one cares because we've all known it for years.  The Associated Press reports:
"For many, Monday's announcement will come as no surprise; the "Livin' La Vida Loca" singer's sexuality has been speculated about for years. But the Puerto Rican star, who got his start as a child in the teen group Menudo, never directly addressed it and was usually seen at events with beautiful women on his arm."
He made his big announcement on Twitter.  He is currently working on his memoirs.

Movie Review: Matrix Revolutions (2003)

Starring - Keanu Reeves, Laurence Fishburne, Carrie-Anne Moss, Hugo Weaving

Quite frankly, this movie sucked major ass. It was better than Reloaded but it still sucked. It sucked so bad, I won't even bother with my typical review format.

Neo spends the first part of the movie bitching about being in a subway station of sorts. He's still 'jacked in' to the matrix even thought he is not physically attached. Morpheus, Trinity, and that other guy (Collin Chou) go to see the weird French guy to find out where Neo is. After some retarded fight scenes, they find him.

Movie Review: Matrix Reloaded - Revisited

After several complaints and insults about my review for Reloaded, I decided to rent the DVD Tuesday and give it another shot. I watched it twice to make sure I didn't miss anything, and afterwards regretted that I even forked out the four bucks for it.

Movie Review: Matrix Reloaded (2003)

Starring - Keanu Reeves, Laurence Fishburne, Carrie-Anne Moss, Hugo Weaving

Matrix: Reloaded was the biggest piece of crap I have ever had the displeasure of watching. I wouldn't even have my worst enemy watch this movie. It was almost one entire fight sequence and the special effects were some of the worst I have seen. The stop motion tricks that were made famous in the first Matrix were

Bombardment Day!!!

I've got a ton of old movie reviews from my old web site that I'm going to start putting up.  So...it's going to be a bit caotic for a few days while I post them.

'24' Going Bye-Bye

'24', starring that vampire guy from Lost Boys Kiefer Sutherland, will air it's final episode May 24.  The show will have lasted eight seasons with 194 episodes.
"Sutherland said in a statement that the show's cast and crew "always wanted '24' to finish on a high note, so the decision to make the eighth season our last was one we all agreed upon." He also said he was looking forward to creating a film version of "24."
A film version?  I'd like to see how that works out.

Movie Review: Wolfman (2010)

Staring - Benicio Del Toro, Anthony Hopkins, Hugo Weaving, Emily Blunt

The trailers and tv spots for this one looked interesting and I was hoping it would be good. Unfortunately, I was let down big time.

The writers did attempt to create a somewhat original storyline, but it quickly fell apart early on and became overly predictable. The big plot twist, where you learn that Anthony Hopkins is also a werewolf, was stupid...being that Benicio's character saw his father, in wolf form, kill his mother and never once put two and two together.  In fact, the script was so lacking the actors couldn't even get into it. Anthony Hopkins was completely lifeless. Hugo Weaving seemed to be going out of his way to not sound like Agent Smith and Megatron rolled into one. Benicio looked like he was going to fall asleep, which I don't blame him for...I almost feel asleep several times.

Overall, I was disappointed with the movie. It's not worth wasting $10 to go see it, and I'm not even sure it's worth renting either.

My Rating - 2 Stars

the hiatus continues...sort of

It's been a while since my last post.  I ended up back in the hospital with a uterine infection for a few days, then we had the 'Snowpocolipse'.  We got over a foot of snow and I ended up camped out at my parents house for almost 7 days because we didn't have electricity.  And now I'm just getting over another infection...this time in my leg.

Anyway...for the time being I'll only be typing up reviews because I really don't feel like keeping up with all the movie news, unless it's something interesting.
